Athletics split double header in opening games

After an opening week that had more rain than sun and caused the postponement of quite a few games the North Dufferin Baseball League is starting to get their opening outings in the record books.

I would like to tell you about an incredibly talented, strong, beautiful young athlete who couldn’t get more humble and kind then Giuliana Pallotta. “Joolz”, as she is affectionately known to friends and family, is an incredible role model especially in today’s society when people talk about the youth of today.

Hornets announce change on and off the bench

The Alliston Hornets bench will look a little different when the team returns to the ice for the 2017 / 18 season – but not in a bad way. Long-time GM, Rick Bartlett, is stepping aside after spending a lot of years in the position. In his tenure as GM, he has seen the team win nine League championships and two Provincial Schmaltz Cup titles as well as three more trips to the Provincial finals.

Hornets wrap up successful season

They ended the season with a North Conference championship title to add to their impressive team accomplishes over the past several years and now the Alliston Hornets will start building for the 2017/18 season.

Stingers major atoms ace the season

The Beeton Stingers Major atom local league team have done what few Atom division teams have accomplished. They went the entire season without a single loss and claimed the Simcoe Region Local League championship. With head coach Mike Sommers leading the way on the bench, the team went 25-0-1 for the regular season to finish in first place.

STA Stingers claim CSASC championship

The St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School Stingers boys hockey team captured the Catholic School Athletics of Simcoe County A/AA championship with an overtime win over the Jean Vanier Catholic High School Storm on March 2, at the Tottenham Community Centre arena. The squad finished in third place in the regular season standings then managed to take a 4-2 win in their semi-final game to earn the right to go to the final.
