Beeton Honey & garden Festival: May 23

April 30, 2015   ·   0 Comments

Dear editor:
With less than a month away, our quaint Victorian Main Street will soon be lined with over 170 vendors selling items for the home, garden and you!
Snap up that perfect vintage table at our Antique Alley, purchase an Alpaca sweater at our International Bazaar, or a one-of-a-kind piece of art at the SSAC Artist & Artisan Marketplace.
It’s time to think about the outdoors. Perennials, garden stones, metal décor for the flowerbeds? Rustic benches, solar lights, fresh herbs for cooking?
What about a colourful new sundress, sunhat or sandals?
Let our local firefighters cook your Pancake Breakfast!
Prepare to be entertained by talented musicians the Slocan Ramblers at the Muddy Water Bandshell or Beeton Creek Rising at the Four Corners Stage.
Juggling and Magic Shows will be held throughout the day at our action-packed Kids Corner.
Free pony rides all day long at the west end!
Show off your Classic Car or Truck at our Show ‘n Shine. No pre-registration required!
Local honey vendors will be selling the sweet golden nectar and offering displays to educate and interest us.
While you’re thinking bees, vote for the best bee in the Great Big Beeton Bee Contest sponsored by the BTBIA.
Don’t get us started on the food! Fresh cut local fries, Hawaiian BBQ, Caribbean Jerk, Sushi, Souvlaki, Pizza, Beaver Tails, Funnel Cakes, Fresh Fudge, Kawartha Ice Cream and on, and on.
Join us in our ‘Honey of a Hometown’ Saturday, May 23rd for a day of family fun you’ll never forget! There’s too much too list. So much to do!
Linda Rutledge
