It’s Steam time again!

September 12th, 2015, the Tottenham Steam of the Greater Metro Hockey League will take to the hit the ice for their second season in the GMHL. The Steam are coming off being crowned the 2014 – 2015 Regular Season Champions.

The Tottenham, Ontario based junior hockey program is headed by general manager/head coach Ryan Wood.

Wood will have returning veterans Captain/Defense Braden Foote (Barrie Ontario), forwards Masaki Watanabe (Yamanashi Japan) Thomas Freeman (Winnipeg Manitoba) along with goaltender Jason Goes (Cookstown Ontario) back in the line – up for the 2015 – 2016 GMHL season. Main Camp which will be held in Alliston NTRC Arena will open up on Monday August 24th and conclude Wednesday August 24th.

Opening the 2015 – 2016 Greater Metro Hockey League season with the official puck drop in Tottenham on September 12th with be Richard Clarkin who is plays the Highlanders Captain Gord Ogilvey in the movie Goon and Goon 2. Clarkin will be at the Tottenham Community & Fitness Centre to sign autographs during the opening game of the 2015 – 2016 season between the Tottenham Steam and the Shelburne Sharks at 7:30 p.m on the 12th of September.

The opening nights festivities will also include a DJ, hot dogs, face painting, bouncy castle and we will also have a jousting tournament just like the American Gladiators where the winner will win 2015 – 2016 Steam season tickets!

“September 12th will be an exciting day and we can’t wait to show you all the exciting things we will provide for intermission entertainment along with another strong team,” said Wood.
