An Alliston physician is poised to make history, and introduce a revolutionary device to help those with back ailments.
Dr. Filipe Tiburcio, of Physiomed, will unveil the  Spine Specialist Table at his facility Jan. 23.
Invented by Dr. Mark Jagger, the Spine Specialist is the world’s first Laser Assisted Spinal Restoration (LASR) table using a robotic class 4 medical laser delivery system. Dr. Tiburcio will be the first doctor selected to offer LASR outside of Spine Advance’s own clinical facility for patients suffering from chronic neck and lower back pain.
This revolutionary treatment device has been designed and developed especially to treat those patients that have not responded satisfactorily to other traditional forms of therapy.
Dr. Tiburcio will be working in collaboration with Dr. Jagger, HL4Y Marketing and a select handful of medical facilities here in Canada to participate in the world’s first documentary based independent study on LASR. Dr. Tiburcio has agreed to participate in our film documentary, highlighting the Canadian back pain crisis. The film is entitled “We‘re Getting Back Together” and it introduces the Spine Specialist Table.
The Spine Specialist simultaneously combines a precise and gentle spinal decompressive force with a specially designed laser delivery system. It applies them in a scientifically specific manner and is achieving unparalleled results.
By adding the Spine Specialist (LASR) Laser Assisted Spinal Restoration therapy to his current line of services, Dr. Tiburcio will be offering the most complete non-surgical solution possible in the world.
Wayne A. Wilson Sr., of Healthier Living Marketing, specializes in wellness products. One of his success stories was Dr. Jagger’s creation.
“Of course we jumped at the chance to bring such a timely and needed product to market the technologies proven to actually change the quality of a life for individuals suffering with back and neck pain that have not responded well to standard therapies,” Wilson said.
Canadian chiropractor, Dr. Jagger, wanted to help those in chronic pain and he was driven to find an innovative method. That led him to research and develop the world’s first and only laser enhanced spinal decompression table using a robotic class 4 medical laser delivery system. This fully automated therapy is the very latest in the evolution of non-surgical back and neck treatments and the only one of its kind on the planet!
Dr. Scott Wilson, CEO of Physiomed, has a passionate vision of reaching suffering citizens by establishing nearly 40 Physiomed clinics throughout Canada. His ambition to reach both cities and the rural areas of Canada led him to suggest that Dr. Tiburcio and his partner Dr. Daniel Bringleson consider opening a Physiomed in Alliston.
Dr. Tiburcio with his business partner and wife Dr. Beverly Gilroy opened their doors Alliston February 2011. It didn’t take long for them to realize that they had made a great choice and that they had become a part of a community of treasures, where they have now become gems!
Alliston’s becoming the first host site for this technology has turned out to be a match made in heaven, because this table’s introduction to main stream is a part of the documentary that focuses on capturing this trailblazing non-surgical treatment. The people, the treatment, the data collected will document broken lives being restored to their love ones.
This therapy uses the two most effective non-surgical methods of treatment today, putting decompression and laser in to one fully robotic 15-minute session with no trauma or recovery time needed.
“The Spine Specialist system is so precise and adaptable it can treat conditions based on the location and severity of injury while allowing the practitioner to personally tailor treatment to each individual patient case.  Also, new capabilities with this system are being continually researched and developed with the next revolutionary therapy focusing around an apparatus to offer new hope to those with knee pain,” added Wilson.
This Health Canada registered device, once given the green light by the FDA for the United States (anticipates to be in the late spring of 2016), will be targeting the professional sports medicine market. It will be aimed at the prevention and the treatment of sports related injuries for both the college and pro level athletes.
The Alliston location will be the main treatment centre for sports related injuries and treatments for prevention specifically for the tabulation of sports medicine data. This data and portions of the documentary will be used to educate the public about the existence and availability of this effective non-surgical treatment technology, as well as edited training segments for physician instructions on the tables set-up and operations.
