Paramedic station officially open in Alliston

June 29, 2016   ·   0 Comments

County of Simcoe Warden Gerry was in Alliston to celebrate the grand opening of the Alliston Paramedic Station June 13.
In 2008, County of Simcoe Paramedic Services established a long-term strategic facility plan aimed at providing efficient and responsive paramedic services now and into the future. This living plan outlined the need to establish a paramedic response presence in various areas across the county to meet the needs of local residents and visitors.
As part of this plan, a new five-bay, 5,800-square-foot paramedic station was constructed in Alliston and will serve as a base for paramedics to support the immediate area and entire region.
“In celebrating the official opening of this new station, we are continuing to ensure our residents receive the highest level of care possible by expanding our health and emergency services programs and facilities to suit the needs of residents and visitors,” said Warden Gerry Marshall. “Every seven minutes our paramedics receive a call for assistance. By strategically placing our stations throughout the County, we are improving the outcomes for residents across this growing region.”
