Pay the toll, help a family

My Sister’s Place, the local women and children’s shelter, held its annual “Road Toll” along the main streets of Tottenham, Beeton and Alliston. Volunteers collected donations to support the shelter, and its newly launched “Moving Forward Program.”
“Our shelter has seen a higher demand in services which has impacted our financial situation and we are stretched very thin,” said Jennifer Cloutier-Jury, public relations/fundraising coordinator for MSP. “These donations will be of great support and we encourage those that may be looking to help even further to submit their donations directly to our shelter either through our website at www.mysistersplace.ca or by calling 705 435-9400 ext. 225. If people are looking to donate items from our Wish List, we are accepting donations of non-perishable food, clothing, small household appliances such as kettles, coffee makers and toasters by contacting the shelter directly.”
