This past Sunday the Tottenham Artisans Market, a project of the Beeton-Tottenham Business Improvement Association (BTBIA) closed for 2016. Open this summer on Sundays since Aug. 14, the market offered a friendly, social environment where local residents and day-trippers to New Tecumseth could purchase fresh locally grown produce, food, artisan made crafts and goods and listen to live entertainment.
“Our market offered the best in local farm products and unique artisan wares,” said BTBIA coordinator, Susan Iacoucci. “It was a venue where local farmers, artists and craftspersons make their products available in an open, fresh-air environment.”
The Tottenham Artisans Market, held at the four corners of Tottenham close to the historic South Simcoe Railway, will reopen next summer.
