New Tecumseth donates war memorial benches to the Town’s three Royal Canadian Legions

The Town of New Tecumseth has donated war memorial benches to the three Royal Canadian Legions, Alliston Branch 171, Beeton Branch 421 and Tottenham Branch 329. A bench has been installed at each of the Town's Cenotaph Memorials.
“The memorial benches are in recognition of the 100th Anniversary of the First World War and the Battle of Vimy Ridge (that took) place on April 9 as well as of the 25th Anniversary of the amalgamation of the Town of New Tecumseth,” said New Tecumseth Mayor, Rick Milne.
The benches were designed and manufactured by Ogilvie Decorative Street & Park Furnishings to commemorate the centenary of the First World War and incorporates the image of soldiers, crosses and red poppies.
