JAK Fund Washer Toss a lot of fun in Tottenham

The 2017 JAK Fund Washer Toss Tournament champions were Danny Chiasson and Derryl Gaudet.

The inaugural JAK Fund Washer Toss Tournament was held on Saturday March 25 at the Tottenham Community Fitness Centre to rave reviews.
Forty-eight two-player teams came out to support the Justin Alexander Keogh (JAK) Fund, a not-for-profit organization that raises funds to aid teens and young adults in transition.
The fund was started three years ago in memory of Justin Keogh, who at the age of 18, tragically lost his life in an automobile accident along with two other local teens.
It was Justin’s dream to work with teens that were struggling to transition from high school to higher education or employment.
For this unique event the Community Centre was transformed into an “indoor backyard” with 16 play areas, all of which simultaneously hosted two teams vying for bragging rights and prizes.
After more than 240 games were played the 2017 JAK Fund Washer Toss champions were crowned. The JAK Fund team would like to congratulate Danny Chiasson and Derryl Gaudet.
“Thanks to everyone who is associated with the JAK Fund. The tourney was a blast. Will be back next year for sure …” said Derryl Gaudet on the JAK Fund Facebook page (www.facebook.com/JAKFund).
“The JAK Fund is sincerely grateful to the generous sponsors and amazing volunteers, without their support our hugely successful tournament would not have been possible,” said JAK Fund executive, Geoff Keogh.
