TNT Bantams suffer one point loss to Guelph

Sundays (July 23) Bantam game between the TNT Express and the Guelph Gryphons came down to one single play at the end of the game.
With the Express leading 42-37 and only seconds left on the clock the Gryphons threw a long incomplete pass at mid field. A flag on the play brought the teams back to midfield for a re-do on the down.
This time the Guelph quarterback set up the same play and threw a Hail Mary high and long that was caught by a receiver who sprinted the distance to score and give Guelph the game with a 43-42 win.
The Express got off to a good start in the game leading 24-8 at the end of the half.
TNT TDs came from Trisden McKinnon, and two from Reuben Langford.
The Gryphons were first to score in the second half with a long run down the sidelines.
The Express went ahead when Kane Jacques had a huge run to drop the ball on the one yard line. On the net play McKinnon scored again to make it a 30-16 game.
The Gyphons closed the gap lat in the quarter starting on the five yard line then running to the right to score.
The game was tied at 30 when the Gryphons scored again.
TNT quarterback, Jake Barker, hit receiver Kane Jacques with a long pass midway in the quarter for another Express TD.
The game was again tied up when the Gyphons had a successful play with a pass into the end zone to score.
The Express scored with ten seconds left on the clock with a pass into the end zone that had TNT fans already celebrating a win.
The game came down the to final play and Guelph took the game with a final successful play to win by a single point.
The game was the final outing for the TNT Bantams as they have not secured a berth in the OPFL playoffs.
