Enjoy a free movie under the stars

Summer is for spending time outdoors and pushing back bedtimes while enjoying an awesome family movie.
On Saturday, August 19th, Trillium Ford Lincoln Ltd. (Alliston) will host its first annual ‘Dinner & A Movie Night’ at the Riverdale Park Band Shell.
The movie to be shown is the 2015 Disney Pixar film, ‘Inside Out’, a feel good movie with a positive mental health message.
“We came up with the concept of hosting an outdoor movie when we realized that New Tecumseth residents didn’t have anything like this on their summer calendars,” said Trillium Ford General Manager, Eric Vant Spyker. “What a great way to give back to the community we live and work in.”
Partnering with local restaurants, and the Alliston BIA (Business Improvement Area), the premise behind Dinner & A Movie is simple – “Take your family out for dinner, and then join us in the park for a free movie under the stars,” said Vant Spyker. “East Side Mario’s, Boston Pizza, McDonald’s, and Domino’s Pizza are all on board as well, and welcome guests to join them for dinner out in their establishments before heading over to the park.”
During the first two weeks of August, these restaurants will be giving out free family passes for the movie as well.
Also participating is The Circle Theatre (providing popcorn to movie goers), Alliston Home Hardware and Building Centre (providing glow sticks, and setting up a booth at Movie Night), and the Lori Go Round food truck (selling comfort foods in the park).
Domino’s Pizza is also giving out free family passes at the Alliston BIA’s Street Festival during the Potato Festival weekend (August 12th). Selling pizza slices, Domino’s will be stationed in front of Shoppers Drug Mart, in the ‘Kidz Zone’.
The movie, which has been fully licensed by Trillium Ford, will be shown on a 24 foot inflatable screen in full HD with amazing sound.
The movie will start at dusk, so plan to arrive by 7:30 p.m.
“Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray,” adds Vant Spyker.
A rain date of September 9th is in effect.
