Michael Worrod Memorial Fund still helping kids play

Earlier this month, Kerry Worrod, co-founder of the Michael Worrod Memorial Fund, presented members of Help The Kids Play with a cheque for $4,000.

Help The Kids Play (HTKP) provides local children in need with funding to participate in recreational and cultural activities. From hockey to dance, soccer to swimming and everything in between, HTKP allows children life-enhancing experiences to help with their personal growth and well-being.

HTKP hosts an annual ball tournament to generate funding for the organization which is also complimented by contributions from local business and charity organizations, such as the Michael Worrod Memorial Fund.

The three slo-pitch ball leagues of Tottenham, Oldtimers, Ladies and Mens, participate in the tourney.

Funds presented in this photo were raised during the tenth annual Michael Worrod Memorial Golf Tournament, held in July 2017 at Glen Eagle Golf Club.
