One butter tart at a time at Carriage House

Story & Photo by Wendy Gabrek

Carriage House Bakery, an artisan bakery creating fresh and delicious baked goods, and owned by Samantha Young, celebrated its grand opening on April 27.

Welcomed by members of the Alliston BIA and Town Council, Young's celebration included a ribbon cutting and giveaways – with a chance to win a $20 Cool Moose Ice Cream gift card and half a dozen of butter tarts.

And the winner is: Alisha Brooks.

“We'd like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support since our grand opening,” said Young. “I'm so lucky to live in such an amazing community. During our grand opening, we sold over one hundred buttertarts in the first forty-five minutes of being open.”

Young reminds patrons that since Carriage House bakes everything from scratch, in house and fresh, there is a limited quantity produced daily.

“We are increasing staff to increase quantity but you can always feel free to message us on Facebook and email carriagehousebakeryalliston@gmail.com 1 to pre order what you would like,” she said.

Or drop by the bakery at 97 Victoria St West 2 in Alliston. For orders, call 705-500-4505.
