The team at Murphy’s Farm Market and Bakery hosted a customer appreciation Blueberry Brunch on Saturday July 28, and more than 300 members of the community came out for the occasion.

This brunch was the first event of its kind to be hosted on the farm, and the Murphy’s staff were pleased with the turnout, and the response from event-goers.

With complimentary blueberry pancakes served hot off the grill, as well as free access to their newly renovated Fun Farm Yard and blueberry patch, it was a fun-filled day for individuals of all ages. And children, in particular, were thrilled with the newly expanded outdoor area, including bouncing pillow, and the ‘Mini Main Street’.

Luckily, the rain managed to hold off for the majority of the event, and staff members and customers both agreed that the occasional drizzle definitely didn’t dampen the fun.

“The field team, bakery staff, retail team, and management staff all cherished the opportunity to interact with so many of their customers outside of their usual business-related encounters,” Jessica, a member of the retail team, explained. “The event gave us all the chance to get to know our customers on a more personal level. It was especially great to see staff members and customers competing against each other in the pie eating contest, as well as picking berries together out in the field. It’s these relationships and moments together that make our jobs so special.”

Murphy’s Farm Market and Bakery was recently awarded the ‘Farm Market of the Year Award’.

“The team at Murphy’s would like to extend their sincere thanks to all of those who came out on Saturday, and they look forward to seeing everyone again soon at future events,” said Jessica.
