On Thursday, August 2, Fierté Simcoe Pride (FSP) hosted its seventh annual county-wide Pride event.
In celebration, the rainbow flag was flown throughout the County, including Alliston, in events taking place from July 30 to August 12.
FSP formed in 2012 with the vision of a safe and inclusive Simcoe County that supports and unites gender and sexually diverse communities.
This year’s Pride had municipal support from 22 communities, including 21 proclamations and 20 flag raisings.
The 2018 theme “United in Action” builds on themes of previous years, mobilizing residents to “make our county a better place to live, work, and grow”.
