Congratulations to Fryderyk Jarema of Alliston for winning $1,000,002 with Encore (August 11, 2018 LOTTO 649 draw). Fryderyk matched all seven Encore numbers in exact order to win the $1,000,000 prize. He also won $2 on another ENCORE selection bringing his total winnings to $1,000,002.
“I enjoy playing Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max weekly,” shared Fryderyk, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “My wife always insists I get Encore,” he laughed.
The 67-year-old father and grandfather checked his ticket on the OLG Lottery App the morning after the draw. “We were in shock, I had to go to the store to confirm the win – it’s amazing, we are overjoyed, and still in disbelief,” he smiled.
Fryderyk, a retired teacher of 33 years, plans on sharing his winnings with his family. “This win gives us more money to share with our kids and grandchildren.”
Fryderyk and his wife of 42 years also plan to celebrate her upcoming retirement. “We’ll be planning a vacation at some point!” he concluded.
Encore can be played in conjunction with most online lottery games for an extra $1. There is an Encore draw every day.
The winning ticket was purchased at Lukie’s Convenience on Young Street in Alliston.
