A new subdivision planned for Beeton was debuted during a grand opening at their sales office on Main Street in Beeton on Saturday, November 22.

Flato Developments Inc. unveiled the street layout as well as new home designs during the event which was attended by local dignitaries as well as people interested in seeing the plans for the new development.

Many guests had pre-registered to attend and several visitors were from out of town but looking to relocate to the area.

The subdivision will be located on a currently empty parcel of land on the west side of the town with access to Main Street.

“Today is our grand opening. It’s the start of our project in Beeton, it’s called Beeton Village,” explained Flato president Shakir Rehmatullah. “It’s a community with single detached homes and town homes. It’s right down on Main Street, it’s connected to Main Street. There’s going to be a pedestrian walkway. The sidewalk will be extended, it will be part of the community. We are extending the Beeton Village community along Main Street. We’ll have town homes fronting Main Street and behind that we’ll have single detached homes and town homes.”

The company is planning to start work on the project within the next 12 months with home closings planned to begin within two years.

“You’ll start to see machines there within the next six to eight months,” Mr. Rehmatullah said. “Within 12 months we will start our servicing works. This is our sales office. We’ll be selling from here and in the near future we will start building our model homes.”

Currently the property is a vacant former farm field.

The property borders the west end of town where development stops and will be an addition to Beeton’s west end.
