Recipients of the Vince’s Market Community Product Initiative gathered at the new Sharon store to celebrate a successful 2019 campaign, and to receive significant contributions to help them continue their life-changing work.
The recipient organizations, chosen in the municipalities served by each of the Vince’s Market locations, reflect a variety of causes that impact food insecurity and hunger, hospice care, and support for people with intellectual disabilities.
The funds raised were as follows:
SHARON STORE
Holland Landing Food Pantry $3,607.22
UXBRIDGE STORE
Loaves and Fishes Food Bank $4,205.08
TOTTENHAM STORE
Matthews House Hospice $3,573.18
NEWMARKET STORE
Community Living Central York $3,681.89
This brings the total raised to just over $40,000, since the program began in January 2018. The Initiative adds yet another layer of Vince’s community support to an already long list of commitments that include Southlake Regional Health Centre, Cedar Centre, Inn from the Cold, Toonies for Tummies, and more.
“Matthews House Hospice is thrilled and honoured to receive proceeds from Vince’s Tottenham Community Product Initiative,” said Andrea Roylance, Director Gifts and Gratitude, Matthews House Hospice. “We are a community supported and driven hospice, and it makes great sense to partner with an equally community-driven organization like Vince’s.”
