COVID-19 rates continue to slow in New Tecumseth

New cases of COVID-19 are becoming increasingly rare in New Tecumseth, with just one new case recorded so far this month.

That infection was recorded August 10 and before that, two cases were recorded on July 29.

There’s currently only two active cases in New Tecumseth, with one in hospital and the other self isolating.

Since March, New Tecumseth has seen 84 cases in total and one death. Its recovery rate presently sits at 96 per cent and the case fatality rate is 1.2 per cent.

All of Simcoe Muskoka has seven active cases, out of its 672 infections, while 625 had recovered, as of press time.
