Faris Team celebrates grand opening of new office in Alliston

After 13 years of service in New Tecumseth, the Faris Team now officially has a presence in Alliston.

The family-owned real estate agency celebrated its grand opening last month at 117 Young St. Unit 11 and owners Joanna and Mark Faris say they’re excited to be in the community.

“Just like any home buying experience, location is everything. It took us a while to find the right location in Alliston, but the community has been so supportive,” noted Mark Faris.

“There are so many local businesses here and we feel blessed to be part of that community.”

The Faris Team only hires realtors who sell in the areas they live so they can truly understand the client’s exact market. Mark said due to the amount of business they have in Alliston and the surrounding area, they had to step up their service locally and find a place to call home.

“Since day one, our mission has been to give clients the best real estate experience in the world. This starts with exceptional client care and communication, and ends with treating each client like a client for life by keeping in touch and seeing them annually at events,” he noted.

He told The Times a large part of his company’s mandate is to be an active member of the communities they serve.

“We support local and have dedicated charity partners in each of our core markets,” said Mark. “Our giving back efforts centre around themes of food and security… investing in partnerships that help others who can’t meet their essential needs, like shelter or food.”

The Faris Cares program donates $100 of each home bought or sold to charity partners, such as My Sister’s Place in Alliston.

“It’s only because of our clients we’re able to facilitate this support,” Mark said.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 has reshaped the real estate industry with many aspects of home buying experiences virtualized, such a property tours, open houses, or buyer/seller appointments, which can be facilitated over Zoom.

“The key moving forward is giving clients the option. Many are now comfortable going to a showing, or having a potential buyer view their home in-person. Some aren’t, which is why our virtual options are so vital. No one has to compromise. We’ll meet you where you are comfort-wise and deliver the same results,” Mark stressed.

He told The Times that New Tecumseth holds a personal connection for both him and his wife, having grown up in Cookstown himself and his father-in-law operating a business in Beeton.

Mark said he’s glad to have the Faris Team officially set up in Alliston and looks forward to fostering more partnerships with local non-profits in the future.
