Over the last weekend, Nottawasaga OPP responded to three Assault calls for service.
On July 6th at 8:50 p.m. in Essa Township, police were called to an altercation on Cecil Street regarding a disturbance/assault. Charged is 22 year old Ashley Sears, she is charged with one count of assault as well as, one count of assault with a weapon, under the Criminal Code of Canada. She will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 22, to answer to these charges.
On July 7th at 11:12 p.m., police were called to an assault between two drivers in the township of Adjala-Tosorontio near the 7th Concession; this occurrence is still under investigation.
The third assault investigation was called in after the fact; it occurred on July 7th at 11:30 p.m. but was not reported until July 8th. The assault took place on County Road 50 in Adjala-Tosorontio Township. Charged is 46 year old Adjala-Tosorontio resident Bruce Kozeyah, he is charged with one count of Assault Cause Bodily Harm and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 15 in Bradford.
