Organization receives $5,000 donation from The Nottawasaga Foundation

The Nottawasaga Foundation presented a cheque for $5,000 to Help The Kids Play (HTPK). HTPK is a community based organization that has been operating in the Tottenham, Beeton and surrounding areas since 2007 with the mandate to provide children with the funding to participate in a recreational activity, outside of regular school and home environments, where their parents / guardians are unable to do so.

Heritage Celebration brings players home

Domino’s Alliston raises $35K in ‘All Day for Jordyn’ fundraiser

Domino’s Pizza Alliston hosted “All Day for Jordyn” Aug. 9, a one-day fundraising event during which one hundred per cent of all pizzas sales was donated to Jordyn Andrews and her family. Jordyn, a 6-year-old Alliston resident, has been diagnosed with Autoimmune encephalitis, a rare and debilitating brain illness that causes alteration of consciousness, cognitive decline, seizures, and abnormal movements. As a result, her parents, Chris and Jen Andrews, have been unable to work, staying by their daughter’s side for months on end, while Jordyn receives treatment at SickKids Hospital.
