Hornets graduate four Junior players

With the end of the Alliston Hornets’ 2014 / 15 season also comes the end of their Junior career for four Hornets players.
Teams captain Tanner Dockerty, forward Nic Archibald, defenceman Zack Bylbow, and forward Mark ODonnell have played their last season of Junior hockey.
The Hornets won the Georgian Mid Ontario League championship this year and went on to the Schmalz Cup provincial playoffs knocking out Walkerton in the first round before bowing out in a semi-final series loss to Port Hope.
Tanner Dockerty played four seasons with the Alliston club wearing #21 and signing on in the 2011 / 12 season. The Hornets won the GMOHL championship three of those years that Dockerty played on the team.
Over the four seasons he played 149 regular season games scoring 55 goals and recording 94 assists for a career total of 149 points.
Playoff games included 84 GMOHL and Schmalz Cup playoff games with 23 goals and 28 assists on the record.
Forward Nic Archibald played three seasons with the Hornets wearing the #77.
He played 118 regular season games scoring a total of 47 goals and recording 97 assists for a three year total of 144 points.
In 2024 / 15 Archibald ended the regular season as the top points earner in the GMOHL with 74 points.
In playoff action, he record a total of 60 games scoring 19 goals and getting 28 assists.
As a defenceman, Zack Byblow joined the squad in the 2012 / 13 season playing three years with the team wearing the #6.
He was on the ice for 71 regular season games.
In playoff action, Byblow played 30 GMOHL playoff games and 19 provincial playoff games with the squad.
Forward Mark ODonnell played his entire Junior career with the Hornets signing on as a rookie in the 2010 / 11 season wearing the #24.
Over his five seasons with the team, ODonnell played in 185 regular season games scoring a career total of 107 goals and getting 118 assists. During his time with the Club, ODonnell helped the team win four GMOHL championships.
In playoff action, he played in a total of 110 GMOHL and provincial playoff games scoring 43 goals and recording 64 assists.
These four players were an integral part of the Alliston Hornets Junior C Hockey Club and contributed to the over all success of the team over the past several years.
The Hornets have won the GMOHL championship seven times over the past eight years and have won been the Schmalz Cup final four times winning twice – in 2008 and 2010.
The Alliston team has reached its success through the hard work and dedication of the players and coaching staff including long time General Manager Rick Bartlett, head coach Clay Birkett, assistant coaches Scott Hutchinson, Blair Molto, Justin Murray, Trevor Belrose, and trainers Rob Maglouglen and Peter Eisner, as well as a dedicated executive who strive to bring great hockey to the region.
