Toys for Tickets program returns this holiday season in New Tec

November 18, 2021   ·   0 Comments

The Town of New Tecumseth is bringing back its annual Toys for Tickets program for 2021.

Now in its 13th year, Toys for Tickets allows residents to pay their parking tickets with new, unwrapped toys or gift certificates of the same ticketed value, with all items collected donated back to the community.

“We are excited to be able to bring back our Toys for Tickets campaign after having to suspend it last season due to the pandemic and precautions at the time,” said Mayor Rick Milne.

Toys for Tickets runs from December 1–10 only. Toys must be in the original package (with receipt) and can be brought to the Town Administration Centre at 10 Wellington Street East in Alliston during business hours – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Only parking tickets issued from November 15, 2021, up to and including those issued on November 29, 2021, are eligible to be redeemed during the Toys for Tickets campaign period. Accessible parking space and fire route violations are not eligible to participate.

Prior to the holiday season, toys will once again be distributed to youth in our community through the local Lions Clubs Christmas Hamper program as well as My Sister’s Place – the local women and children’s shelter.
