The ‘New Tecumseth, Caledon, King, Citizens for Clean Water’ (or NTCK–CCW), an incorporated and not-for-profit organization questioning the quality of fill at the Tottenham Airfield (formerly known as the Volk Airport) and the affects possible contaminated fill could have on the neighbouring water supplies and the Oak Ridges Moraine, will host its first Annual General Meeting next Tuesday, July 15th at the Tecumseth Pines recreation centre (Hwy. 9 at Tottenham Road) from 7 – 9 p.m. The group’s slogan is: “We won’t accept Toronto’s garbage, so why would we accept their soil?” NTCK–CCW is asking for your support to protect our precious water. ‘Like’ them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TALandfill. “Become a member or donate to support our fight. We must end the filling of the Tottenham Airfield.” Pictured: representatives from NTCK–CCW at the Tottenham Community Week street festival last Saturday.
