Surrounded by friends, family and community members, Norah Bullock celebrated an incredible milestone with her 100th birthday at the Good Samaritan Seniors’ Complex in Alliston on Saturday. There were stories, laughs, photos, some presentations made on behalf of MP Dr. Kellie Leitch, New Tecumseth Mayor Mike MacEachern, and of course cake. Recently featured in a story by Emily Wood, Bullock was born in Toronto on March 1, 1914. However, she didn’t stick around in the city very long, as she touched down for stints in Ajax, Ohio and Fenlon Falls over the years before ending up in Alliston. And that doesn’t include her traveling. Since retirement, Bullock has been across Canada and to New Zealand, Australia, all over Europe and also Hawaii. She is known for her many talents including golfing, bowling, curling and playing bridge. She has three children, a son and two daughters (including Patricia Middlebrook, pictured with Norah as she cuts her birthday cake) and nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Bullock was thankful and appreciative for all of the love and support and said she was so happy to be around her friends and family.
