On May 5, at 9:56 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP received a report of a robbery from the Husky gas station on Victoria Street East in Alliston. A lone male suspect entered the store and brandished a knife demanding cash; the male then quickly left the store with some cash. The store employee was not injured during the robbery. Nottawasaga OPP officers, Emergency Response Team members, a K9 team and later the Forensic Identification Team were deployed to the scene. Police are looking for a suspect described as male, white, approximately 170–173 cm (5’7” – 5’8”) in height, described as thin in stature with short, dark hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with a hood over his head and white running shoes. He had a black knapsack and was wearing a white scarf over his nose and mouth. Individuals should always be cognizant of their personal safety at all times.
