Arrests made in B&E case

Nottawasaga OPP have made several arrests in a January residential break and enter in the Town of New Tecumseth.

Nottawasaga OPP Officers and Street Crime Members have concluded their investigation into a break and enter investigation from early January 2014 where jewellery, cash and other property was stolen from an 8th Avenue residence while the homeowners were away on vacation.

Police have arrested and charged five male youths and one male adult with Break & Enter and Possession of Property obtained by Crime over $5000 as well as some Breach of Probation charges. Total charges for all six males are eleven Criminal Code of Canada charges.

The males range in age from 15–18 years of age; five youths are residents of the Town of New Tecumseth and the 15 year old male resides in Adjala-Tosorontio Township. The name of the 18 year old will not be mentioned as it may lead to the identity of the young offenders whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police have recovered some property and small amount of cash as a result of the investigation.
