Award of tender – Mill Street subdivision

Dear editor:
When it was announced the problems of the subdivision had been resolved and they would proceed with the plan, there was no mention of services. This did not make sense. Once again New Tecumseth council is putting “the cart before the horse”. Tottenham has one source of water – the well. The source is not infinite. There is only what has been stored.
The late hiring of Genivar to make application to take more water from Tottenham well is not a certainty. The council in their zeal for the subdivision and revenue is suspect. The aquifer that supplies well water for rural wells in every direction is not exclusive to the requirements of the town of Tottenham. The rural residents have a God given right to their share of water.
