B–town Ballers head to Nova Scotia

Dear editor:
When the 7 young men from New Tecumseth won their right to travel to Nova Scotia to be a part of Hockey Night in Canada Play On 4 on 4 Redwood Cup National Championship back in June, September seemed a long way away.
During the months in between we started fund raising to help keep costs down for their trip. Bottle drives, finding sponsorships, having a table at the Meet Your Neighbour picnic selling tickets to beautiful baskets that were made up by Sheila Bell, selling 50/50 tickets during the day… all of these things have made this trip possible.
The tournament runs this week in Yarmouth, starting Thursday September 26th through Saturday September 28th.
Good luck to Cody Greene as he is one of the original 7 boys but cannot make the journey with us due to ice hockey commitments. We welcome Dom DePalma to the team.
