What better way to celebrate the harvest than a small-town, agricultural fall fair, steeped in tradition.
This year the Beeton & District Agricultural Society asked you to celebrate its 159th Fall Fair by donning your cowboy hats, boots and blue jeans and heading to the Beeton Park for a weekend of homecrafts, animal demonstrations, midways, and crash-up derbies.
The 159th Beeton Agricultural Society Fall Fair took place between Sept. 18–20th and the event, which took months to prepare for, was a true success for organizers.
“On behalf of the entire Beeton and District Agricultural Society I want to thank everyone who joined us for the 159th Beeton Fall Fair” said Alison Preiss, fair coordinator. “Thanks to the support of the community, we had a very successful year.”
But there were also many hands working behind the scenes to ensure the Fair’s ongoing success.
“The fair would not be possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers and fair board members,” said John Rutten, president, Beeton & District Agricultural Society. “Our members work diligently behind the scenes to ensure the fair runs smoothly and we can continue bringing the community this keystone event.
“My heartfelt thanks to all of our volunteers and members. Special thank you goes out to Ingrid McNeill and Beth Wink for their tireless efforts keeping us all on track and on budget, to Lori & Glen Brethet and Betty-Ann & Jim Alexiou for keeping us well-fed, to Randy Crumbie for a fantastic beef cook-off, to Laura Daniel and RJ Mayberry for stepping in and running the beer garden, to Tom Middlebrooke for another outstanding Derby, Roger Findlay for a great classic car show, Bob Lisk for the parade, and to our amazing home craft president Jennifer Dever. To everyone who helped in big and small ways, we thank you for your contributions,” said Rutten. “Thank you again for the support and we’ll see you September 16, 17, and 18, 2016 for our 160th Beeton Fall Fair.”
