Beeton Lions – final appeal

March 28, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Dear editor:

It is with great regret that the Beeton Lions Club must inform the community of Beeton that unless it receives support, in the next few weeks, through new and active members, it will be forced to close its doors as of June 2013 and thus will no longer be able to continue the support it has given to many local organizations.

We are writing this article as a last desperate plea for the community of Beeton to step-up and support the only service club left in your community—The Lions Club.  We are asking that you appeal to your community members, your families and your friends to consider becoming a Beeton Lion; thus allowing our club to continue its support of  community events and organizations—Girl Guides, Library, Soccer, Hockey, Public Skating, Simcoe Manor, Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Individuals who find themselves in need of a helping hand, Beeton Fair, Christmas Hampers, just to name a few.  Who will step-up and continue to support the youth, the elderly and other fellow members of your community?

The Lions motto is ‘We Serve’.  The Beeton Lions Club cannot continue to serve the community of Beeton without help from the Beeton community members. If you value the Lions contributions to your community; this is the time to show your support by becoming an active member of the largest service organization in the world and the only service organization left in your community.

The future of the Beeton Lions Club is your hands!
