It’s the most spooktacular time of the year.
With October upon us as of this weekend, it’s time to start thinking about what your little ghosts and goblins want to be for Halloween.
And the Beeton Tottenham Business Improvement Association (BTBIA) wants to help you maximize your costume investment by giving your baby vampires and witches another place to wear their devious and delightful ensembles – if they can stand the daylight!
The BTBIA invites you to participate in Beeton & Tottenham’s 7th Annual ‘Frightfully Fun Family Event!’ which takes place Saturday, October 31st, from noon until 4 p.m.
“We are excited for this year’s 7th Annual Frightfully Fun Family Event and it falls on Halloween..how spooky!,” said BTBIA coordinator, Susan Iacoucci. “The reason we hold this great community event is to create awareness about our local merchants in Beeton and Tottenham and to help grow our communities by supporting our local businesses and shopping local. Families love this event and the kids get to parade around town in their costumes.”
Register your Tottenham or Beeton main street business to participate by October 9th, via e-mail to info@btbia.ca or by calling 905 936-3424.
“Families will walk through the downtowns looking for Pumpkin Decals on your store front windows, which we will provide to all registered businesses,” said Iacoucci “We suggest you have a child activity such as a craft, colouring contest, games or a treat for the children. It is a great opportunity to showcase your store and to meet the families in your community. We will have ballots for families to vote for their favorite store and a draw for the kids with local prizes.”
The BTBIA will have a fun station set up in both communities for its ‘Bring your Pumpkin Downtown Contest’ with three categories: Scary, Stencil and Funny, with great prizes to be won. There will also be music, and other free, fun-filled activities on Halloween afternoon.
“Consider providing a prize for the draws,” said Iacoucci. “Gift certificates are an excellent way of marketing and increasing traffic to your business.”
Contact Susan Iacoucci, BTBIA coordinator at 905 936-3424 or info@btbia.ca to confirm your participation by Friday October 9th.
