Education Subcommittee members from New Tecumseth’s Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) presented the Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) with a cheque for $8,500 from proceeds of the Annual Links for Learning Charity Golf Tournament.
The Children’s Treatment Network, with an office on Church Street in Alliston, delivers support services to more than 4,500 children with multiple special needs in Simcoe County and York Region. CTN provides children and families with access to the essential rehabilitation, specialized clinical and support services they need to succeed.
The Links for Learning funds that the CTN received will allow the organization to purchase much needed equipment.
“Children’s Treatment Network is proud to partner with the Town of New Tecumseth to build brighter futures together for kids with multiple special needs. This generous donation will make a significant difference to the children and families who rely on our services. The new equipment we can purchase with this donation will help us to make our programs more inclusive and fun, and help build a community where everyone, regardless of ability, can live their best life,” said Kim Woodland, Acting Director, Programs and Services, Children’s Treatment Network.
The Links of Learning Scholarship program provides financial assistance to qualifying New Tecumseth high school students to pursue post secondary educational opportunities, youth groups and youth organizations or other projects that provide educational, community service or athletic opportunities benefiting youth.
