October 1, 2015   ·   0 Comments

This year, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation wants you to consider the women and me in your life affected by breast cancer and support their vision of creating a future without breast cancer. To help contribute to that vision Alliston residents will once again have the change to support the breast cancer cause on Sunday, October 4th in the 24th annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.
This year’s Volunteer Run Committee leads are city residents Michelle Hutt and Kara Percy.
Both Mrs. Hutt and Mrs. Percy are New Volunteer Run Directors and each made the commitment to become involved with this event as a result of their respective personal connection to friends or family affected with breast cancer.
“I became involved because it is important for me to let those who are currently fighting or who have won their battles to know that they are not alone,” said Hutt
The CIBC Run for the Cure will again take place at the East Side Mario’s parking lot location in Alliston. Participants, volunteers and donors are encouraged to get involved by visiting CIBCrunforthecure.com
On Run Day, registration opens at 8:30a.m.; opening ceremonies start at 9:20 a.m.; 5km route departs at 10 a.m.; 1km route departs at 10:10 a.m.; awards and closing ceremonies at 11 a.m.
