Collection boxes stolen

The Nottawasaga OPP were called to a theft in progress at the rear of a second hand clothing store on Victoria Street in the Alliston on April 6th at 8:15 p.m.
The business had previously reported a theft from their donation boxes on their property on April 2.
Police located the suspects and his vehicle just 5 minutes later in the Town of New Tecumseth. After a short investigation, Police arrested the 49 year old male from the Barrie area. Hugh Smith is charged with two counts of Theft Under $5000 for each incident. He was released with a court date of May 16 where he will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford.
The property was returned to the second hand clothing business.
