Come to the Potato Festival!

Dear editor:

Hello everyone and welcome to our 41st Annual Potato Festival. This year we have a few new events that you will like. As usual we start off with our famous Alliston Potato Festival Parade. Last year we had over 90 floats – so it is promising to be exciting again this year.

For those of you that like to gamble a bit we have our Texas ‘em Tournament. This takes place at the Memorial Arena on Nelson Street. This has proven to be a popular event throughout the few years that it has been held.

On Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. we will be providing bus service from Zehrs – Victoria St – The Legion on Dufferin St and then the Fairgrounds on Beech St. This is a free service offered by the Alliston Potato Festival Committee.

Throughout the weekend down at the fairgrounds we will be having bingo, Pine Block Car Race for Kids, Wild, Wild West Show, the Dog Agility Show, the Magical Duda, Creature Quest, Scottish Dancers, the Lawn Tractor Races, and the Zoba Balls just to mention a few. Together with these special events there is the midway all weekend long.

Come down to see us at the fairgrounds, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
