Dear editor:
Alliston Cool Moose Creamery raised over $2,500 for CLASS – Community Living Association for South Simcoe at its 6th annual Ice Cream Block Party on August 15th. Church Street was packed with people as everyone gathered to enjoy live local music, eat ice cream and support a great cause.
Cool Moose Creamery donated $1 from every ice cream cone or frozen yogurt to CLASS, and also had a silent auction and “mystery” ice cream buckets, that contained some great prizes donated from local businesses.
Thank you to George Scott for organizing an incredible night of live entertainment as well as Dayne Polny of Waking Life Studios for providing the sound. George Scott and family have always supported the ice cream party and are truly great people for our community. Their music and talent is what makes the night a success every year.
Cool Moose Creamery is proud to support CLASS, whose mission is to advocate that persons with developmental disabilities live in a state of dignity, have equal opportunity to maximize individual potential for personal growth, and participate in all elements of living in the community.
Thank you to the following businesses for donating prizes:
About the House, Malikai Bistro, Beeton Foodland, Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment, Tottenham Foodland, Mike’s Family Restaurant, Crabby Joe’s, Murphy’s Farmstead, Sophie’s Sweets, Beeton Barber Shop, Circle Theatre, Brisco’s Furniture, Creative Endeavors, and Alliston Feed Service.
