Angus and area residents could be eating a Dairy Queen later this year.
The owners of the property  located at the corner of River and Mill Street in Angus presented site plan applications for two lots adjacent to each other at 150 and 160 Mill Street.
The proposal for 150 Mill Street is for a new gas station, convenience store and a drive-through car wash. There has not ben a drive through car wash in Angus in over a decade.
In the adjacent lot, 160 Mill Street, the dairy Queen of  296 square metres in size will be constructed. Part of the property was the location of the former Lions Club in Angus.
Township planner Colleen Healey said that the township is requesting that the new properties consider emphasizing good pedestrian movement and allowing green area for outdoor eating.
A pedestrian connection to the township baseball field to the west is also requested.
Council agreed to sent the staff report to the applicant.
