On Tuesday, June 18, shortly after 7 a.m., a motorcycle was travelling southbound on Big Bay Point Road near Guest Road in the Town of Innisfil.
For unknown reasons, the motorcycle lost control and entered the ditch. The rider, a 58 year old Innisfil man was thrown from the motorcycle into tall grass. At approximately 7:30 a.m., an alert driver noticed something in the field. He pulled over his car and walked into the field to discover the rider face down, unconscious. Emergency responders were called and the rider was transported to a local hospital. He was eventually airlifted to a Trauma Centre in Toronto where his injuries are considered serious.
