Nottawasaga OPP received a call to advise of a Break and Enter that occurred after the fact. With the recent break and enter calls occurring, this homeowner wanted to advise Police of a foiled break and enter for police information.

On June 2nd, at 1:30 a.m., the homeowners were watching television in the upstairs level of their home, when they heard their family dog begin to bark downstairs. By the time the homeowners got downstairs, they saw their family dog lunging at a male who was trying to gain entry into their home.

The male party did not get all the way into the residence and it is unknown whether the suspect was bitten by the family dog. The male suspect was last seen running towards County Road 13 where an older model pick-up truck, white in colour, with 4 x 4 written on the rear passenger side of the truck bed was waiting; it is unknown if the male party got into the truck prior to the truck leaving the area.

The suspect is described as a male, twenty to thirty years-of-age, 5’6” tall,  weighing 200 lbs., with tanned skin, dark jeans and a beige t-shirt and black hair.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Nottawasaga OPP at 705 434-1939 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). You can submit information online at www.crimestopperssdm.com  Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display and you will remain anonymous.  Being anonymous, you will not testify in court and your information may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.
