The Nottawasaga OPP has been participating in a week-long Distracted Driving Campaign, conducting on area roads and throughout the province.
Although the OPP focuses daily on distracted driving as part of its “Big 4” when it comes to enforcement, from the numbers gathered so far this week, it is very disappointing that more motorists are not truly getting “the message”.
As of 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon, 157 people have been charged with Distracted Driving in the OPP Central Region, while across the Province of Ontario, 955 people are facing charges.
So in case you haven’t heard the OPP message, here it is again, “put down the phone and leave it alone”.
