Essa peeved about encroaching municipal signs

Essa council vented a bit at its last council meeting about neighbouring municipalities placing their

“Welcome to…” signs on the Essa township side of the road.

“I’ve had complaints people confused about where to make a turn on both County Roads 90 and 27 with the Innisfil and Springwater signs on the Essa side of the road,” said councillor Keith White.

“It can be confusing to people who don’t this area very well,” said deputy mayor Sandie Macdonald.

The situation is complicated that the roads and their ditches, where the signs are placed, are under the control of the county.

Staff will continue to look at the issue.
