Essa township’s old library is getting a new roof.
Township council awarded a tender to Canadian Roof Management last week to replace the shingles on the building at a total cost of $8,923.75 plus HST. The Midhurst company’s bid was the lowest of three bids submitted on the project.
The building has been largely empty since the new township library opened at Nottawasaga Pines high school last year. A portion has been rented to Pinewoods Chapel as office space.
The church agreed to extend its lease on the office space that it is leasing also on Wednesday night for the next year at a cost of $285 per month.
