The Everett Ratepayers Association will be holding its first meeting since late last year on March 22. The group will be holding a meeting on Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m. at the Everett Legion to discuss its plans to defeat the Everett Secondary Plan, update its fundraising plans for a future Ontario Municipal Board hearing and discuss plans for electing candidates at this fall’s election.
The association recently canvassed Everett to obtain signatures against Official Plan #15 and to solicit members.
The association is currently asking anyone opposed to the new secondary plan to sign a petition on line at change.org. The petition will be sent to Simcoe County’s planner and to the Simcoe county clerk where the plan is headed for approval.
The petition is available at http://www.change.org/en-CA/petitions/committee-of-the-whole-reject-adjala-tosorontio-s-official-plan-amendment-no-15-opa15?recruiter=10608951&utm_campaign=mailto_link&utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition
