Families encouraged to come out for annual walk in Tottenham

Friends, families and local residents are encouraged to come out for the fourth annual Keanan’s Family Walk on Saturday, April 2 at 9:30 a.m. The Walk will start at the Tottenham Community Centre and loop around the area for a two-kilometre route.
Keanan’s Family Walk commemorates Keanan Allin Boston, a 21-month-old local boy who passed away in 2013. He would have turned five years old on April 1. The walk is aimed for families to come together and spend some time outside. Since the inaugural event, Keanan’s Family Walk has grown from 30 participants to over 100 last year.
“The walk also recognizes and supports our family’s three areas of focus: the Alliston Early Years Centre, Trillium Gift of Life Network and Sick Kids Hospital,” explained Keanan’s father, Kevin. “Keanan’s Family Walk is a nice way to spend time outside, together and to meet new friends. Anyone is welcome to participate.”
There will be raffle prizes and a social at the Tottenham Community Centre following the walk. Donations are welcomed but not required to participate.
