Figure drawing for high school students

The South Simcoe Arts Council and facilitator Marvyn Rivett are holding a figure drawing course for high school students at the Gibson Centre, 63 Tupper Street West, Alliston.
Participants in this workshop will be introduced to the drawing concepts and techniques used to draw figures from a live model. Several different exercises and drawings will emphasize gesture, contours, mass, proportion and values. Graphite, charcoal and a variety of expressive media will be used to explore these techniques. Interested students will have the opportunity to complete some finished works for their art portfolios.
Daily Monday, August 25 through to Thursday, August 28. Four sessions of 2 hours each from 7 – 9 p.m. $25.00 material fee. Tax receipt provided.
