Fire chief’s resignation effective April 10

Adjala-Tosorontio’s fire chief has announced his resignation as Chief of the Rosemont Fire Department this week.
Wayne McIssac who was appointed the fire chief of the Rosemont Fire Department last September will continue as chief for the Adjala-Tosorontio fire department.
Lisle area councillor Scott Anderson raised his resignation at last week’s council meeting. McIssac, who is on holidays, was not at the meeting.
Councillor Doug Little, who sits on the Rosemont Fire Board, said that he did not want to speak about the chief’s resignation.
“His reasons for resigning are personal and its up to him if he wants to discuss it.”
The Rosemont fire department covers parts of Adjala-Tosorontio, Mulmur and Mono.
There have been issues about the use of the Mulmur Melanchthon fire department, located in Honeywood, for some fires where mutual aid is required.
McIssac’s resignation will be discussed at the new meeting of the Rosemont Fire Board later this month.
