Andrej Cerar Darwin, who grew up in Adjala township, passed away mid-June, 2014 from complications of diabetes in Kingston at age 25. Andrej attended the Tottenham Day Nursery, was homeschooled for primary grades, and attended King’s College School on the Gore Road during his high school years. He had started at Queen’s University in Kingston, but was taking time off from university. During his last years he was an active volunteer Medical Responder with the St. John Ambulance, and was very involved in the desktop gaming community in Kingston and the redevelopment of the Tolkien-inspired “Shadows of Isildur” online game.
