What would Tottenham’s Community Week be without food, fun and a flourish of fine art, and Fraser Presbyterian has them all!
Visit the church across from Tottenham Mall on Saturday, July 6, from 10–4 to stock up on your choice of cakes, pies, squares, fudge and cookies, then pause to enjoy a lunchtime sandwich, cool watermelon and a refreshing beverage. There’ll be balloons for the children, and a Rest Stop from which you can plan the remainder of the day’s activities, be it another Community Week event, a garage sale, or a stroll down Queen Street, traffic free your browsing pleasure.
Have a uniquely character-filled caricature drawn of your family, the kids, or an individual seating by artist Heidi Jordan. Jordan, a Beeton resident, has worked at Ontario Place, the Eaton Center, and local and Toronto newspapers, and created a business, (artofmyart@gmail.com )and name for herself through her art; this is an opportunity to meet the artist behind the talent. It’s a great way to celebrate Tottenham’s Community Week, and there’s more to come.
Find out details about vacation Bible School and meet the people involved, trained volunteers with your child’s interest at heart. Registration, schedules, and program information will be available, and additional volunteers and participation are always welcome!
Proceeds of the afternoon will be slated for a lift to be installed in the church, providing accessibility for individuals with mobility issues. “We’ve been working on this a long time,” commented one parishioner who often requires a cane. “It’ll make things a lot easier”. With approximately 75% of the goal reached through donations and grants, the fundraiser will be mutually beneficial for community and congregation of all ages.
Help give a lift to church life, and give yourself a treat at Fraser Presbyterian’s Community Week events! See you there!
